LMFAO
Seriously, I love your thoughts on it.
I don't care for the yellow headlamp look myself. If it was a Le Mans race car in the 24 hour Rolex...I might think it was cool then.

You don't get yellow light from a HID source unless you filter out all the other colors first. Yellow headlights will only give you a percentage (maybe 66% or something) of the light emminating from your source. So in other words, you're reducing your brightness.
Remember that white light is a mixture of all wavelengths of light in the visible spectrum which is roughly 400 - 650 nanometers. To see a certain color a predominant wavelength must stand out and the others reduced to see that color. Yellow light is at about 570 nm. In order to see yellow all other wavelengths before and after that number have to be diminished significantly. Thus you're reducing the efficiency of your headlights.
Same goes for purple or green. PUrple or pink is especially bad because that color is near the edge of the spectrum - at around 450ish nm. Our eyes are least sensitive at the extremes of the spectrum. So why would you want your headlights to be so crappy? Oh, yeah... some people think it's cool.
