I hit 145 a while back and yesterday I took it out to the middle of nowhere and hit 135 before pulling off.

I don't think the F22s are governed...

I'm thinking the LX and DX are governed. EX is not. This seems to be from the 4th gen and up. I don't about earlier models.
Ironically I can't think of any tracks that have a long enough strait to hit top speed. I guess a banked oval is required...

yes your car does have a rpm limiter. When you misshift the rpm limiter can not prevent your car from over reving over its limit. Just like your speed govenor cant prevent your car from going over 130 if you push it off a cliff

Yes u do have a rev limiter. It doesnt prevent mishifts. Hondata would elimate the speed governor. Why this is necessary for anything but a track car or a very high HP application for strip use is beyond my comprehension.

its not just rev limiter that governs the top speed. i have my ecu reprog. and my car will top out at about 154. give or take a few. my motor is only revvin at about 6 .5k. the 5th gear in the lude h22 tranny is too short to get to a higer speed, so you just run out of gear. i was thinin about getting a longer 5th, but unsure of how to go about that. any ideas?

Huh? I've you're topping out at 6,500 in 5th, you have a drag limited top speed. A taller cog will get you nowhere.

The top speed of the 94 Ex Accord tranny in 5th is 161.7mph. I have gotten my car up to 125 before I hit a clump of traffic and was forced to slow down.

I've only had mine up to 100. Still had some room to play, but that was plenty fast enough for me so I slowed down to my regular cruising speed of 75-85

My '94 EX I've had up to 135MPH ,90 EX 125MPH ,87 DX 125MPH (110 in 4th) and 83 -125MPH
The 94 EX cruises nicely at 120 (best at 95MPH) The 90 I set the cruise control at 95MPH .There is a 60 mile stretch of smooth highway with no cops and rarely other cars.Nice for top speed checking.
And yes , the drag becomes greater than the amount of horsepower required to move the car faster and that is usually the top speed if it is not governed lower

what?...is this on the f22 or just the f22 tranny and a different engine...cuz the f22 won't reve that high without some serious mods and or serious damage to the engine!

he has the f tranny on his h23, the f could not rev on stock internals that long b/c of its shitty rod ratio, tossed rod or cracked cylinder....
