I am talking about JDM/ITR style spring/struts. Currently, there is no way to use ITR specific suspension on an EK, for EG/DC simply install the ITR LCA. This LCA would allow you to install ITR style suspension to the EK.

ok thank you
my vote would be no, i want to say CTR spring/struts style are almost the same as ITR, but i could be wrong...i remember reading the spring rates are 250 for F/R

No, I mean this type of shock

vs the standard EK type:

You can use any spring rate the maker of the suspension offers. At this point in time, there is no way to use ITR style suspension on an EK, be it from Tein or any of the other major suspension players.

The top picture is a picture of an ITR LCA, which is shorter than the EK LCA pictured below it. I am gauging interest on an LCA that fits the EK, but can use the ITR style suspension. It would look similar to this, but of course would fit the EK.

Incorrect, the EK arms are longer than the EG/DC/TypeR rear LCAs. You can only use the TypeR LCA on a 88-95 Civic, or 90-01 Integra. For 96-00 Civic, you can't use the JDM style rear shocks, currently.

Incorrect. All Function7 LCAs are manufactured to be the same length as OEM LCAs, as to not change the rear track width. The difference between EK and EG arms is quite substantial, over 2". I highly doubt you want to use EG LCAs on an EK with that kind of difference.

I am not aware that the EK9 has this style of rear LCA. Do you have any photo evidence to support your claim?

david, EK's might be the exception where they started to not make eyelet shocks in the rear. im not sure. but you understand that those arms not exclusive to the type r.

EK LCA's are ALL the same, and are all unique to the EK chassis only. so i don't even know what length has to do with it. the purpose that DavidR's LCA project would be is make it so that EK's can use eyebolt style ITR coilovers...
so youre confirming that EK's, even in japan and elsewhere, have the same LCA that we got in the US.
if thats the case, i respectfully retract my first statement.
however, not the putz comment.

Well put. Everyone knows that the front shocks are the same between EK/DC/EG, but its the rear on the EK that hinders everyone from using JDM R suspensions on an EK. A lot of the companies make EK specific parts, but in some cases they don't. These LCAs would allow the retrofit from DC2R suspension to an EK, thats all.
Thanks!
