i plan to get a b16...im' just wondering what i should do with my stock d16...what did you guys do with your extra motors??

 

my friends and I sold ours to a local repair shop. We didn't want much for them , and we didn't get much for them.. . but we needed to get them out of the way. Just ask around at different shops. *hold replies to this* we let them go for cheap, $250.00 a pop, d15 motors.

 

You can use it as a boat anchor.

I took mine for a one way ride to an abandoned hotel.

-oh **** here comes the police! (wouldn't recommend illegally dumping it like I did. I got away with it, but I know that the cops wouldn't like that so much)

Pull EVERY sensor off of it. PULL as many nuts and bolts as you can and put them in a bucket. You WILL need some extra nuts and bolts, trust me.

 

Mine is just chillin in the garage..in the corner.

My mom still doesn't realize that I did a swap. I just tell her the motor belongs to my friend.

 

i use my stock D16 block as a table piece underneath the glass.

 

I wondering how in the hell i'll bring it home. Well actually...I'm screwed...cuz I live in an apartment.

the value of knowledge is more important than the 150$ the local shop tried to **** me for to buy my motor. 150$ for a full d16z6 with tranny and ecu

That is a damn good idea, thanks. Now when I do my swap, I am probally going to play around with the old motor, and eventually keep sensors and stuff for spare.

 

sold mine to a friend for a good price, some parts I use as a paperweight and I kept the cam for a baseball bat.

 

My d15 is sitting in my garage. The shop that did my swap wanted $75 TO GET RID OF my old motor. I had it hauled to my house in shrinkwrap and it sits on a pallet in my garage. The sensors have already come in handy.

My advise - DON'T THROW AWAY ANYTHING. Eventually you'll either need it or can sell it.
