Will JDM DB8 Type R window switches work in my 1997 DB7?
Just as the topic states. Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum. Just wanted to know b/c I have to pay for them tomorrow. And I"m paying $45 local pick up. Is that too much? Thanks in advanced for all the help.

If they're JDM wont they be on opposite sides? Since their cars are RHD and ours are LHD? I'm pretty sure they'll fit but you have to ask the passenger to control the side mirrors
If it's just the switches then you can put them in the right doors so you don't have to worry about that.
Why are you buying new switches?

The face plates even look symmetrical in your photo, nice carbon fiber look.
They will not work on the passenger door since all the wireing is not there. In Japan, it is popular to get your old face plates dipped to look like carbon fiber or wood grain or many other styles.
I can see that the area around the window lock button is not symmetrical, sis you notice a difference with the shape of the section down inside the cutout, of course it still works just fine.

Simply put, but not that simple buddy....
Try just unscrewing top plates and swapping them over.....you'll see...

I think I suck at searching. I officially told the guy I didn't want to buy it anymore b/c I thought it would be too hard to install. Could someone enlighten me on the thread posted or how to actually do it? How much would you guys pay for it? Thanks,

Very true....not rocket science indeed. Just out of curiousity, was your install done on a dc chassis or a db chassis? Because the dc window switches are much easier to swap over. Not to mention, the jdm cover actually screws onto the usdm switch assembly. The db cover plate will not screw onto the usdm switch assembly.

The passenger one goes right on, the driver can be a PITA. If your using the usdm switches which is what i did, then you have to sand down the front R on the jdm window switch cover. If that makes sense. After that you have to do some cutting of the bottom clips of the jdm cover. Kinda a trail and error thing.

I had to rig my own way of mounting the whole switch assembly to the door panel itself. I used zip ties and its help up great for almost 2 years now!

Hell, when I did it to my 2 door I used the actual jdm switch. Only thing is, I no longer have the automatic window roll down feature and if I push that on off switch, I lose the function to the driver's side window...not the passenger side
Though someone stated that won't work the same with the 4 doors......

Dont know if you're directing that comment towards me, but my Drivers Side window can roll down Automatically as if nothing we're changed. My passenger side window will not automatically roll down. And yes, I am using the JDM Integra DB8 R Window Switches/ CF panel

But the mod isn't too tough and in the event that you were to make a mistake, it wont be extremely noticeable. But, all that matters is that you're cool with it and you got your CF window panel!
