help w/ running rich.
well heres the basics.
my GSR is runnin kinda weird i guess.
i smelled fuel in the car as if it were running extremely rich, but when i use almost full to full throttle at low RPM it sounds like spark knock. so i replace the plugs and car ran fine for a few days. now sounds again like spark knock. i assume its runnin way to rich and killing the plugs,
im running an ECU i got with the swap its a chipped SOHC vtec ecui assume it is running the skunk chip bc it has no fuel cut ( or that ive went to and ive taken it to 8500 a few times on accident.) runs the car great besides the rich problem.
i also have a JDM b16 ecu from a jdm XSi integra.
now i am just wondering if it would be a better idea to try to lean it out a little with a VAFC on the chipped ECU or if i should just run the b16 ecu and adjust that one to liking.
i love the way the car "pulls" through the powerband i guess you could say with the chipped ECU but if its not worth running and i could probably achieve the same results with adjusting the b16 ecu to around same spec which wold give better results w/o losing power
any help / suggestions would be great.
not tryin to build a race car just have it run good with the slight mods i have.

Use the money that you would spend on a VAFC on a chip burner and a few chips so you can burn a stock map using Crome or Uberdata to use instead of that garbage Skunk2 program.
i wouldnt be spending very much $ on a VAFC, it would be coming from a really good friend of mine. i just want some advice on how to go about making it run a little better.

I told you the most cost effective solution. If you want me to tell you to waste $150 on a VAFC and then a couple hundred more on dyno time to get it tuned, be my guest. Cut the jumper wire in J1 on the circuit board and it will go back to stock maps, bypassing the Skunk2 program.
