master hub removal
hello everyone,
i was changing the brakes on my girls car (2000 civic econo version) when 3 of the lug bolts broke/snapped/and stripped themselves off on the same wheel ive never seen 3 on one wheel before.
i have done rear wheel lug bolt replacements before and its cakewalk, i rented a master hub puller and got the main hub nut off.
put the puller on and the axle pushes back up into the middle, (which if i have read right shouldnt happen) i also only have 1 good bolt to use so the angle gets screwed up when i get good pressure on it, but still the hub hasnt budged at all.
can some of u more expericed guys maybe help me out, as in alternative way to rip a hub off, (hopefully w/o removing the entire assembly) and w/o cutting the bolts off to just screw another bolt as i have limited tools atm.

It's going to be hard to remove the hub with only one good stud. Like you said, the angle gets all fucked up and makes it near impossible. I suggest pulling the knuckle and take that to a shop with a press. You are going to get your *** kicked by that hub with only one good stud. Pulling the knuckle will be easier on you.
kk well ive pulled the whole knuckle out now, after hammering on the hub trying to get her out (assuradly foooking up the bearings now she grinds and bumps when turning)
using the master hub puller was an utter failure the axle was pushed up into the knuckle and almost out hopefully i havnt screwed up my cv joint, as ive never heard of an axle going back before a hub comes out.
i even bought a 6" gear puller to do it since only one of the bolts is good, but nothing to push on to pop the hub out still.
does anyone know of a technique to pull a hub out w/ the knuckle already out besides going and paying someone w/ a press to do it : / as ive spent wayyyyyy more than i already wanted to, id hate to give in and pay someone else to do it : /
ahh ie, i bought a blowtorch and pb also to get the ****** off and neither helped also, sigh
