Default a better radio mount?

has anyone found a better way to mount a aftermarket radio? It seems every teg i look at the radio fits like crap like it wants to fall out. I dont know if its the best buy mount kit that i have or what but nothing really holds it in. Has anyone found a better way to do it?

the sleeve has all these thin little tabs that go from the front of the car towards the back. pull out the sleeve, bend the tabs up just a hair, and pop the sleeve back in. the tabs will click up and press against the back of the plastic mounting surface, holding your headunit secure. easy.

Just put in the rear mount. My radio has been firmly mounted for 10 years. I've lost the faceplate a few times, but not the radio.

circiut city dash kits are really good. depending on your deck, it also might have anti-theft capabilities.

bottom rear of headunit, in the center, there are threads to use a screw to mount in.

I used the rear mount from the stock radio and attached a metal support strap to connect that to the back of my new head unit. It was a pain in the butt, but it has endured the test of time.

the more firmly mounted your HU, the more damage they'll cause to take it.

IN order to remove my head unit, you need to remove the center console parts, and remove 3 safety torx bolts from the rear of the radio and metal supports in the dash.

Just be creative and use the "back strap".

torx bolts is a good idea. but somebody stealing your stereo isn't gonna take things apart correctly. they're just gonna rip/destroy all your plastic in the process.

And cut the hell out of their hands. Don't worry, I'd give the fingers back... in a week.
