Del sol dash/cluster in EG hatch=PITA
I picked up a bone stock 92 CX not long ago after taking delivery of a del sol that was fubared (Damn you ebay...). Either way; I decided that I wanted a cluster with a tach in it and had been searching for GSR's, Si's etc until it hit me: the del sol has a tach. And so it began.
I can provide more details on the actual swap if anyone wants but for now I have a few questions on the wiring:
I hooked up all the wires (by switching pins around from the EG harness connectors to the Del Sol connectors: no splicing here) that were mentioned in the various GSR cluster swaps but there were a good deal of wires left over. So, pretty much from the wires that were left over I just matched to colors between harnesses.
Hook everything up and the following work: tach, clock, ebrake light, coolant, seatbelt light, oil pressure and CEL turn on and off like normal
Unsure about: speedo, turn sigals, lights (steering wheel was still off).
Not working: for some reason the gas light is on? the needle still read where it did though, hazard light
I did forget to connect that one ground that goes to the chassis.
Tomorrow I've got to see if the Radio still works and swap over all the HVAC wiring from the Sol and check out my wiring for that gas light....
any advice would be appretiated
