accord auto tranny problems..quick question

friends 2000 automatic accord v4 tranny is messed up and i want to know if i put in GM synchromesh tranny fluid will it help out a little bit ?

get the problem repaired. This is a automatic and therefore do not put anything that is meant for a MANUAL transmission into it. GM syncromesh is meant for the 5spd manual transmission.

there is a warranty extension for that trans up to 100k miles

Does that 100K warranty apply to all 6th gens? Or only up to 2001...I think I read somewhere that Honda claimed to have fixed the problem in the 2002's, but mines starting to feel a little strange shifting, and it's at 49k.

extended warranty applies to 2000 and 2001 cars only. ALL OTHER CASES WILL BE DECIDED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. If you are over 100K, chances are very slim and I do mean slim that you will get assistance......
