Ive searched this topic only to find no info on the b16 y1 trans models. Ive swapped the 91 Integra starter(denso) from my 95 B18a and it doesnt work with the y1 trans. It bolts up fine but doesnt turn the flywheel. The mitsuba starter that came off the b16 looks alot different than the denso(sorry no pics). I need a starter asap so if anyone has replaced a mitsuba starter on a y1 trans equipped B16 let me know what make, model etc that you used. TIA

BTW not all B series starters are interchangeable.
I also posted this same topic in the hybrid forum hoping to get a quick answer.

I have the same setup, Jdm B16a with S1 tranny. I was told to use parts from a 90'-93' Integra.

 

I have the y1 trans and a 90-93 Integra starter wont interchange. Like I said, it bolts up but doesnt start the car.

 

Any updates on this?

 

I used the same starter on my Y1 and my YS1 (93 GS-R) trans.
