Default Who's got a LS/VTEC?

Just wondering how many people on here has (or had) a LS/Vtec in their integra? Plz post:
1) What block and head
2) hp? and tq? (dyno?)
3) Tips?
4) The hardest part of the setup
5) Was it worth it?

Thanks
-Henry
Oh, post a pic if you got one

Looks like you have been at this sight longer than me.
But the difference between you and me is that I use the SEARCH button that was highlighted in red for all of us to see.

I did use the "search" buttom, looked thought all the threads, only some good ones. Just want to get an update for those who've done the setup and see how it lasts over time.

Bump

Im also currently running lsvtec right now in my integ, im running a Gen II B16A head w/B1 LS block with ITR internals with a P61 ecu. I spun a bearing like two weeks ago,im in the process of fixing it. Its nothin really hard about doing lsvtec unless u dont know what your doing. Besides my problem that im having know i think its worth it. If u dont have the patients then just go buy a vtec motor

How'd you spin a bearing? I wanna get a LS/VTEC setup but don't wanna have something bad happen (only car)... I've got the vtec head and I"m almost done, need some VTEC things and rod bolts and head studs...

Ive had an ls-vtec in my DA and EG for more than 2 1/2 years...i had a B16 head w/ B18a1 LS Block Fully Built bottom to top...Do it right the first time and it will last a long time....just think of what your HP goal is before you start modding....GL

I researched a year and never saw that link. But that is hella nice.

You dont have to drill what so ever using golden eagle. What they say is true, no machine shop needed. That is of course if you dont know how to tap and you dont know anyone that knows how to either. But all you need to do is tap the oil suply hole on the head which are explained in the instructions of the kit. It was easy and very self explanitory.

i dont think its worth it in the end. even if you have a ls-vtec setup there will always be someone faster then you...thats how i think of it.

1) B18B/B16A
2) estimated whp: 180-190, tq: not sure...no dyno
3) dyno and tune the b*tch..take your time, no rush, no short cuts, have an experience builder that has put together a successful ls/vtec, or dont bother reving past 7k.
4) waiting to pick up the car and take it home
5) is it worth getting ref'd just for having vtec? you tell me....but before that, most definitely worth the low end and vtec crossover!...just dont rock an Apexi N1 or you'll bite the dust ..that was my fault..lol

how is it not worth it in the end? There is always someone faster than you no matter what. So i guess its not woth it to get a turbo because there is no point because there are many people faster. but hey, i guess its not worth it to even have a car because people are faster. HMMmmmmmm that sounds like a moronic way of thinking, but thats ok.

I have a LS/V set up in my DC4, love it. I dont have any 1/4 #'s yet will soon, and I'm not gonna post my HP #'s because it sucks, but not the motors fault
I know why, its because my header is smashed worse than any other ive ever seen. i have a new header but need to get a 2.5" exhaust to match so i'll post #'s once i get that on. but it pulls way harder than my LS did, so for LS/V for GSR....... LOL

GSR head (stock)
B18b block
Type R pistons
Blox intake manifold
All new bearings
fully balanced
AEM C.A.I. (LS)
DC 4-1 (smashed)
GReddy EVO II
LS trans.
