Default Oil question???

So my car is running synthetic oil and i was wondering if i can switch back to conventional oil. I heard that once you go synthethic, u cant go back to regular conventional. Is this true??. I only reason i use synthetic is because the previous owner said he used it and based on what i heard, i can't switch back. I wanna use cheaper oil instead of buying expensive *** synthetic. so will it hurt to use conventional?? will it affect anything???

You can switch back to standard oils without any problems.

For a Mech. Engineering Student, shouldn't YOU know?

Hehe, just kidding with ya. I'd stick to petrol everything, cheapest fluids FTW, you're not driving a race car, its a freakin CIVIC.

synthetic will prolong the life of your engine internals, has more detergents to keep it clean and proven protection for 5000 miles with a premium filter (mobil 1 or k&n). its safe to switch to conventional petrolium oil, but whats an extra 20 bucks every 3-5000 miles??? think about it.
