Default clutch master cyl questions


i posted in the eg section i thought it might help if i could get some more answers so im posting in here as well.. i just replaced a clutch master cyl in my eg with gsr.. im having serious issues... still wont go into gear while running..

any info you guys could share would be highly .. ive gone through more brake fluid then gas in the last 2 days.. (3) bottles trying to bleed this thing out..

First, the link doesn't work and second, are you sure it's your master cylinder? Did you just replace the clutch, are you leaking fluid? There are many more things that could contribute to you not being able to get into gear while the car is running. Sounds more of clutch install error than improper bleeding.

hmm...won't go into gear while the engine is running... Does it go into gear with the engine off?

What made you replace the master cylinder? That is usually a last resort unless you know for sure it is the issue.

Is the slave cyliner working?

Do you hear a "whirring" noise with the engine running and the clutch out?


BTW...I see you are from Pitts. I'm a fellow Western PA native.
