today, i went to the track and left off right where i started from last race. i ran a 7.45@92
second pass i somehow misshifted from 1st to 4th and then just gave up.
on my third and final pass i had a shitty 60' ran through the gears and then near the top of 3rd gear BOOM! something went in the motor.
i tried to restart but it acted like there was very little compression. i opened up the hood and some other guy was nice enough to point out that my cam gear had backed out. i pretty much knew what had happened and i pulled the Vcover to verify. my beloved 6yr old JUN 3 exhaust cam broke between the right at the second cam holder and the VTEC lobe on #1 cyl. im pissed but at the same time these things were 6 yrs old. ill tear down the top end at a later date and see if and how many valves i bent. hopefully it didnt do anything to my pistons. if its just valves i might rebuild this year if not ill hold off till a later date. might part everything out and go K series since its sitting in the garage.

 

Damnit man, if it isn't one thing it's another....once again, sorry to hear.

 

Damn D... can't seem to catch a break hopefully the damage isnt too severe and you can get it up and running quick...

or it just may be a way of the car asking for that k-series.
