Sub woofer fire direction
Anyone know the best placement for a subwoffer in the hatchback of an RSX? I currently have mine facing towards the side due to room, but I am just trying to get different opnions on which direction sounds best.

either way, itll be bumping loud because there's nothing absorbing the sound (like the backseats of a coupe or sedan)...since the dc5 is just one big open cabin, there's nothing to absorb the sound...but mo def face it towards the rear, so by the time the sound waves bounce off the trunk, it'll sound even louder by the time it reaches you...

You need to define best. To some people (posters before me) best = loudest, but to others (me) best = quality/integration. If you face the sub towards the rear, it will probably sound the loudest, but the bass will be delayed due to the sound wave having to travel to the back of the car, and then back to the front. If you face it towards the front, you will get less delay, but also less output.
