Default Painting outcome not expected..

I'm in need of advices and suggestions.

I just started painting my 93 bumper and my goal is to have it very glossy looking.

So here's how I started.
Sand scratches off for smooth outcome, primered.

Started painting at 35psi with paint gun, Used base coat NH-00 went over 1 time, let it dry for 10 mins(It dried pretty quick) then went again over it with base coat.
So total base coat color NH-00 2 layer on.
Result.

Clear coat x 2 layer is going to be applied next.
Result.

The paint came out very good but it's not glossy enough for my likes.
Do I apply more clear cloating layers? What am I doing wrong?

im no painter but i do wetsand and buff, if there is a lot of orange peel, wich will make the paint look dull, youll for sure have to wetsand that out.. but to me 2 coats of clear doesnt sound like that much...

So how much clear coat is enough? 4 layers? 6 layers? 8 layers?

my friend painted his eg with 6 layers, of course there is dirt in the paint (expected) but he needs to wetsand it out.. so i think the reason people put so much clear is to leave margin for error.

I'm using the DuPont Acrylic Clear Coat

I'm going to let the clear coat sits for a little while then I'm going to go spray 4 more layers and hit 6 and see how that comes out.

what kind of primier did you use? doesn't look like surface primer. did you wet sand the primer first before spraying the base?

More isn't always better. My car was sprayed with 1 layer of base and 1 layer of clear. This his how 99.9% of cars are painted.

the spray gun you're using is wrong. You need a gravity gun. The gun you have is a vaccum gun and it's mostly used for primier.
