Just letting you guys know that a local car theif and sadly a Type-R owner (well a Type-R body with a GSR engine and tranny) has been most likely shut down.
This young kid has been stealing Integra's and parting them out made the huge mistake of making it publically known, at least within a group of Honda owners, in hopes of selling of some parts. Unfortunately for him some of us in that crowd (cough, me, cough) work in the field of law enforcement.
I can't get into any of the details but lets just say he approached me last night inquiring about my Type-R and I dropped a bomb on him. Bottom line: If he's smart he'll never touch another Honda again. If he's stupid he'll be meeting Mr. Law very shortly.
Needless to say the kid left almost immediately looking like he had just seen a ghost.

Thanks Pat, but I still have the Benchmade Blackhawk from the WTD Event.
Though frankly a sharp pencil and some pliers would do, as long as I didn't break the pencil too soon.

Doubtful for a couple of reasons.
1. This isn't a professional. This is just some rich teenage punk that has nothing better to do with his time. I've heard about him doing some pretty stupid illegal teenager crap in the past but nothing on this level. Some idiot in our local Honda community showed him how easy it is to start up an Integra without a key so I guess he figured he'd try out his new skill by stealing one.
2. This is a very small city with a very small group of Honda enthusiasts. It will be nearly impossible for him to attempt to sell anything without those of us with law enforcement ties finding out about it.
3. I never said for a fact that he wasn't going to be arrested eventually. All that needs to be said is that the right people are watching him closely.

You know how in the beginning of the first Batman movie he scares the complete crap out of those two petty thugs? Well if you don't remember he grabs one of the thugs and holds him over a building and says:
Batman: "I want you to tell all your friends about me"
Thug: "Who are you!?"
Batman: "I'm Batman"
Basically what Batman was doing was sending out a messenger. It's not like Batman would really accomplish anything by trying to go after every small fry purse snatcher himself but what he DID know is that the small fry would spread a little fear among the other wanna-be criminals.
I know it's a funny example but hopefully you'll see my point.
