Short Shift
I just bought a short shifter for my ek civic but the shifter is for a integra, when i went to buy it i asked if it would fit and they double checked and said it would But.. when i put it in i couldnt get into 5th or Rev. because the bottom of the shifter was hitting the exhaust. were they right, will it fit and im missing something or wont it fit? thanks
integra and civic shifters are interchangable. your hitting your exhaust because the shifter is to low. what brand shifter do you have? and you can probably fix it if you dent the exhaust alittle. do a search, there was somone on here who had a similar problem.

Your exhaust stock or aftermarket?
You may have to extend your exhaust hangers so the exhaust is a bit lower, I've seen this quite a few times with short shifters. An exhaust shop can do it cheap enough as well..

yup, bend your exhaust a little, incase you didnt notice...the levrage on a short shifter is huge, the part under the car is maybe an inch longer then stock.
