hey guys the srs light came on in my cuzins 02 type s. when she took it to acura they said thay couldent fix it
i was just wondering if anyone had the same problem and how they fixed it

I AM A TECH AT AN ACURA DEALER. ON YOUR OLD PAPERWORK THAT THE DEALER GAVE YOU, WHAT WAS THE CODE/REASON THE GAVE YOU I CAN LOOK INTO IT FURTHER.

Mine came on after they took a code read for an O2 sensor and they told me that it was a chain reaction with the ECU and the bad sensor. I think they just don't want to fix it. No offence to any techs, but alot of the ones I have dealt with are lazy half asses. I have met some good ones but most just don't want to spend the time to fix it.
Is it still under warranty?
Does he have any mods? Some times those will mess with the ECU.

 

no it is stock .. wen she took her car in they told her they would fix it then a month later they sed they couldent fix it . they still have the car but it has been too long and they say they cant fix it

yea but they told her they cant fix it and she wants her car back b/c its been over a month but they still cant fix it

 

if she has warranty, the situation must be fixed in someway, even if it is a replacement car. not being able to fix something as serious as that when its under warranty is serious bullshit.

 

my srs light is on, my friend at honda has the HDS system on his personal labtop and found out my SRS unit is blown. so i say forget it, ill just die.
