Help! Secondary Oxygen Sensor - does it make air\fuel mixture?
a few days ago i had to change catalytic convertor on my Civic. But when mounted i found out that the hole for the post O2 sensor in new cat.con. is much less then it should be. Now that the post O2 sensor didn`t fit in there, i use my car without it.
CHECK is not on.
Does anyone know if the secondary oxygen sensor influences on air\fuel mixture or not? Or it only controls the cat.con.`s ability to clean emissions?

the secondary 02 sensor only monitors the health of the cat, without the second 02 sensor you should have a check engine light but it wont effect how the engine performs
thanks fella. I`m from a small town of Russia and it is hard to find here a good tech for Honda. Besides, i own a japanese vehicle with a wheel on a right side in it. My car has that damn system called "LEV" (Low Emission Vehicle), that one can easily breath the air that this car exausts
Now i have driven more than 200 miles, and i see no difference in MLG without this post O2 sensor. And i wonder why no CHECK is on?
