broken zex valve spring after 4000miles
wanna change the valve seals today. And I have seen that my zex spring is broken.

I`m happy that the valve doesnt hit the piston ...
But im pissed off, because I wanna finish the engine tomorrow.
I have contacted zex, and let you know what they say.
my setup is 105300 cam, ferea valves and zex springs on my d16y8 head
anyone ever heard this problem?
I dont think, it would be an nice feeling to drive with zex springs again. If they break again and kill the engine

I don't know how much you paid for those valve springs...
But one of my portflow inner valve springs broke into 3 pieces in under a years worth of use. When I contacted Tom about it, it was no problem replacing it, but he did explain how valve springs at this price are not going to carry the quality that the more expensive valve springs have. The "more" expensive ones he mentioned (forget the brands) were like $20-30 each, not $80 a set.

For ZEX brand?
I certainly would not have.
I hope they send replacements ASAP for you though.

It happens.I have seen plenty of very expensive springs brake.CompCams (zex) does make a very good spring so I wouldn't stop using them because of one failure.
those companies are probably all sourcing from the same region. I doubt it is something in-house where quality control is something they can deal with first hand.

They void warranty
Only one year warranty
They said maybe all springs could be bad ...
What should I do? Throw them away, use stock springs, buy one new zex spring?

If they void the warranty due to a failure like that because of the one year clause and refuse to even come a bit toward you, I'd get another set from another manufacteurer.
