LS motor has a P28 ECU?
I was going through changing my spark plugs and noticed that the ECU cover showed Honda P28. Does this mean its a P28 ECU? Do you need a pic to show you what I'm talking about?
nah ls motor suppose to run p75, p28 is single cam vtec ecu, im thinking the last owner change it for some reason
or it could be the p28 case, and p75 map, but who would do that

My 2001 LS says "P28" on the ECU cover, and I bought my DC4 "Acura Certified" through a dealer... an old lady owned it for 27,000 miles before me. The chances that it was modified are extremely slim.
Anyone have any conclusive answers?

Is it the cover of the ECU or the actual sticker on it near the plugs? If it's the cover, it's a cost saving strategy of Honda. Look at an OBD-1 B16A block and it's stamped PR3...which originally was an OBD-0 motor.
I'll go grab a snapshot and show ya what I'm talking about, sorry for the big pic, but here it is, you can make it out....
