Default SRS Reset

Ok so i put a new clock spring ( cable reel) in my 96 accord and tried to do the corssed wire trick to reset the srs and no go it wouldn't do anything. I am positive that it is all working since my horn wasn't working before and now it is. all was put back correctly according to the helsm manual aka the bible for accords, so what do i do know??? I don't want to have to go to the dealer and im praying something else isn't wrong with me srs!!! arg!!

i have heard a few people say that they had done that, but im not sure about mine as i didn't check but wanted to see if anyone else had something to say on the situation. since as you can imagine doing this saved me like 400 and i don't want ot put more money into stealership any more!!

i did try the reset using the mes plug but the system wouldn't even respond so thats why i wanted to know if anyone else had this issue after replacing the cable reel or did it just resest it self after instalation? i have to get this fixed to get my car inspected thats why i need to have it taken care of.

try this

http://www.hondaaccordforum.co...m.htm

and no, it will not reset by itself , make sure you plugged everything in , if it still will not reset , you need to read the code and post it here

that is what i did and it didn't respond at all. Im sure the clock spring is working and getting power because all of my steering wheel mount acc. are working but i can't get the srs to go out. Now if i wanted to find out what the code was how do i go about doing that? Would i go thru the ecu or what. i know people do it all the time but i have never needed to since i have never had a cel so never had to use the trick? thanks
