you can use a JDM p30 manifold if you tap the vacuum nipple on the far back side of the manifold, opposite of the throttle body

i have a JDM intake mani' on there right now. tha JDM intake mani's don't have tha vacuum port in tha back for tha EVAP purge solenoid cut-off valve (like USDM versions). only thing near tha back is tha larger gauge vacuum port for brake booster. there are 2 vacuum ports up front -- larger gauge one for PCV valve and smaller gauge one for fuel pressure regulator. i have a US-required EVAP purge cut-off solenoid valve t-tapped to tha vacuum port for tha fuel pressure regulator. accordin' to referee, that's a big "NO." vacuum lines (among others) must follow USDM version.

correct. OBD-I off B16A3, not A2. 99/00 A2's got rid of tha IAT sensor bein' on tha intake mani' runner. they relocated it to intake pipin'.

thats what i'm saying.. on the far back side there is a small flat circular spot.. you can tap a hole into the mani. and put the nipple there for that vacuum line.. no need to tap into the FPR line.. i'll see if i can get a pic to show you.. it just has to look stock..

where it is circled in red you can tap a hole and put a nipple right the.. your manifold doesnt have that nipple there right??, thats why you had to t-tap the FPR line.. just trying to help you.. with a cheaper way of doing it.. i dont see why it wouldnt work.. they see p30 and all the emissions are hooked up and pass it..

yeah, i had all my emissions parts hooked up. i even passed SMOG. he said since tha vacuum lines didn't match that of tha USDM '95 Del Sol, he wouldn't pass it. i know ppl who have done this same shiet, and tha ref' guy they went to allowed it. as this ref' guy said: "there will be no t-tapping and i don't want to see you drill a hole there next time you come back."

my engine bay harness had corrosion from a battery that must have leaked fromt ha previous owner. before i dropped tha engine in, i removed all tha ugly black wire loom and reloomed it with see-through loom. he put down that my engine bay harness was modified and that i "may have to get a new one." -gay
