Default Car bogs when A/C is on

well i have the a/c turned off the car goes normally when stepping on the accel pedal. once i turned the a/c on, the car bogs when in gear. lets say im going 30 in 3rd, it slowly goes then kicks in like normal then goes back to bogging. Also when i let it out of gear, the rpms drop down. i've had a case were the rpms were so low that the cut shut off on me. what the hell is it? i dont run my a/c because im afraid of ruining something. oh i just put a new a/c belt on it to.

That makes complete sense. It does take hp to turn the compressor. So if you like all your hp. Leace the a/c off.

That depends on what you have under the hood. With the stock D15, you will feel like an anchor has been tossed out the back every time the compressor engages. But if you have, say, a B20 swap, you might never know the difference between the compressor being engaged vs disengaged.

Mine does it. I have a stock d series and when I have the a/c on, it feels like I'm driving on 4 flat tires. No pull whats so ever lol.

Ya it doesnt pull at all. My hatch is an automatic so im sure that doesnt help the situation. In my case, its worth it though. The past two weeks have been 115 F with the humidity factored in. The car is a ball of fire and im in the middle sweating my *** off, trying to drive as fast as i can so i can cool down-so the A/C is worth it...So to answer your question : Yes, it happens to me as well.

It's totally NOT worth it. I don't care what anybody says. If you have a functioniong a/c system, don't trash your car by ripping it all out. Now if your a/c system doesn't work and you're not going to fix it, then by all means yank it out. Your car is not going to be any faster without it anyway.
