Default HAMP Filter H1540-PFB-004?

Is it relatively safe to use these much smaller filters on b-series? I know they're used on the DC5 and EP3, and that they will increase oil pressure.

According to Prelude Online, they've mentioned:

"On a side note: Toyo Roki does not manufacture just one type of filter. They make different specs for the NSX, Insight, Beat, Today and Life as well. You may find on the market there are even smaller filters with a P/N 15400-PFB-004 (H1540-PFB-004 for HAMP). Those filters are designed for the Honda Beat, Today, Insight, and older Life and ACTY only, and are not meant to use on any Honda vehicles marketed in the US except for the Insight. You should not use them on your Prelude… that is for sure!"

Any reason why I should/shouldn't use the filter? Thanks.
