Well, tuesday night, i put down a 14.587 @ 92.67 mph with a 2.275 60' time. I've been nutting my pants ever since. I need to go faster now.........MOD TIME!!
Thats better than a typeR.
You must have nailed the launch and shifted perfectly on that run. Judging from your trap speed, your car isn't making any more power than most GSR's with intake. Were you able to back up that run with a similar time on another run?

Well, I got those ideas from a Prelude free mod page. I wanted to see if it would work for the B18 like it said it would for the H22. All it did was leave the secondary runners in the position that it usually goes to when you hit about 6 grand RPM. It said it was supposed to drop low end power, but increase high end HP. And the fuel pres. regulator was unplugged and capped to provide the most fuel at all times. Its hell on gas mileage. You guys can try this if you want, it worked for me.
I didnt get anymore 14.5 passes, but I made two or three 14.6 passes at 94 mph. Thats been my highest trap speed so far.

Ugh.. I am not happy with my launch. I got a LSD and good street tires and Im still getting like 2.3 60' times. I try slipping to avoid wheel hop.. I try dumping.. high tire pressure, low tire pressure.. I cant do better than 2.3. Im pissed. I wonder how much the Z10 would help.

Yep, I'm from Indy. South side by Greenwood to be exact. Why do you ask?
I launch between 5000 and 5500 rpm.

I had seen the same screen name used on the IIP sites. I am from the north side(Carmel). What color is your car. I was talking with a guy last night at IRP and just trying to figure out if it was you. I drive the blue 4 door turbo

Yeah, I was up there last night. Blue four door teg with a turbo. I was the one with the really sh*tty times. If I get my tranny issues taken care of I will be up there next Tues.

I don't see how disconnecting the vacuum hose on the FPR is going to help you. You don't have enough mods to be needing more fuel. Did you check your plugs after your runs?
nice time. but... assuming you are throwing all that fuel at it, you are running rich which is slowin you down. get it tuned and your times will get better. good luck

This bastard here makes me feel slow.
I was really proud of my 15.4 w/ just intake too.
Just so you guys know... the track we run on is not pretty.
altitude is sea level I would imagine (Indianapolis) and the temperature last night was cool, but warm enough to not be bothersome.
Apparently they prepped the track a bit, because I hear people were hooking up like tow trucks last night. I really should have been out there trying to break into the magical land of 14's with just $100 invested into my car mods wise.
Used AEM's rule.
AEM Intake shaved 8 seconds off my 1/4 time.
My last run before AEM was a 23.49, now I'm running 15.4's!!!! I love you AEM!!
hahaha
