Default Intermittent Wiper control

I have a 91 Honda Civic HB. It's not the DX. I switched the intermittent wiper control from my 91 LX and the intermittent part of it doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the switch or not as it was not working sometimes before I took it out.

The question is: Is the intermittent switch controlled within the switch itself? Should I be able to just put in an intermittend switch and have it work?

Bump for answer.

Mine only does 1 wipe then stops. Any idea why it's doing this? All the other wiper modes work fine.

according to the service manual, the first item to check is the wiper switch. the second is the integrated control unit, because that is where the intermittant wiper circuit is. the icu is located on the back side of your underdash fuse box.

ef service manual sections 16-152 through 157 gives more information.

Based on this information, that is why mine is not working. The civic I swapped the switch to would probably not have that module by the fuse box. Maybe I can take it from my 91 LX?
