can i put car exterior paint on my valver cover i want it the same colour as my car?

strip it with some aircraft stripper. sand the bare metal with 180 grit. shoot a coat of epoxy primer, then base/clear it.

it'll be fine. i color matched my valvle cover 2 years ago with base/clear and it's not chipping, peeling or anything.

just strip it and sand it yourself, and take it to a local body shop. they shouldn't charge you no more than $50-100
