2006 Civic LX - is a firmer ride possible?
I know there are a million ways to lower my 2006 Civic, but are there any ways to firm up the ride without lowering? It's a 4-door Lx - I tow a trailer, and frequently have a hitch-mounted bike rack. Thanks.
I was talking to "ed", poijana here on the phone the other day
he purchased the HFP suspension and said it was stiff as heck!
however... if i were you with the sedan LX, i'd wait a few months till the 4 door Si was released and pick up that suspension
spring rates might be a little better for you

if you have to, i believe H&R has an OE Sport spring kit which only lowers the ride maybe .75"
otherwise see what kind of bars you can get for the suspension if you'd rather leave the stock springs alone.

Another more feasible option for right now...
* DX coupe front struts (approx. $90 each) and DX Coupe rear shocks (approx. $55 each)
Why the DX Coupe? They have the same valving as the Si Coupe because the DX lacks the rear sway bar the LX and EX have, so Honda did this in order to keep its handling on par with the other models.
* ANY non-Si Coupe springs.
This is directly from Honda's Media website regarding the Civic Coupe's suspension tuning...
"To achieve sport coupe performance, the Civic Coupe has the following exclusive suspension tuning compared to the 2006 Civic Sedan":
* Front spring rate increases 20 percent
* Rear spring rate increases 28 percent
This will help without lowering the car nor sacrificing drivability in the least.
