Default Trade my crazy turbo Civic for your Liter bike...?

Car details here:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1695271

What Id like for straight trades; 01 or newer Liter bike; Honda CBR1000, Susuki GSXR 1000, Yamaha R1 preffered. Im a bike noob but am used to 10 second+ cars and I DO have self-control; I will be taking it very slow, classes, and ample gear.

Bike+$ trades: Any of the above 600s, but must be 04 or newer and cash.

Let me know what you have, Im just bored of cars and have 15 years+ of extreme mountain biking under the belt; that was the most fun Ive ever had, but am too busy to enjoy now-a-days.

Unlike most retarded posts we see in here, this one is at least well written, and he didnt come in with a chip on his shoulder, trying to trade his 15 year old busted *** CRX with a homemade turbo kit for a new R1.

There's not even anything to flame at, but you can keep trying to put up a front if that helps you feel better.

The issue of starting as a bike noob on an 1000cc is another one entirely.

I do not even think starting a noob on a 1000cc bike is an issue, I thought the fact he said he handles 10 second cars, so the 1000cc is okay for him. His mentality is all off.

Why is it a dumb post? Is it a completely absurd idea to trade a fast car for a bike?

A poorly written post can certainly turn what started out as a potentially good post right into the *******, but not the converse.

Why are you straying from the part that I thought was dumb, which in turn made the whole post dumb. I think his car is a valid trade, I think his validity portion is dumb.

Well unlike you, I could careless about poorly written posts. I do not need to flame people for that unlike some people around here, because I suppose they are all english professors.

Having good self control is a start, but if you've never ridden before its just that, a start. A liter bike can get away from you in a lot more ways than a front wheel drive car(no matter how fast) can.

If you make a mistake and jerk the throttle with the car, no big deal. Make the same mistake with the bike (especially a 1000) and you could find yourself flying over the handlebars. Same with braking and turning. Mistakes that you probably don't even notice with the car will put you in a ditch with the bike. But, since you're taking the MSF I presume and wearing full gear you're at least taking the right approach.

Not saying its impossible to get 1000 as a first bike but it's certainly stacking the odds against you. A 600 still easily pulls ten second quarter miles and is less sensitive to throttle.

Because its completely irrelevant. He didnt come in asking for advice on what bike to get, so why even bother going down that road? You didnt even address what you considered dumb about the post, rather than just throwing out poorly directed flames...
