I want to make a music video using the lights and tail lights of FG, FG2, and FAs. I'm hoping to catch a local meet around here sometime soon to get some good footage. Anyone know of any north texas meets coming up?

I'm thinking I need at least 4 coupes, preferrably two SI and two non, and then two sedans... that should do well. What im going to do is film short clips of each light sequence on each car with them lined up likely like this [FA-FG2-FG-FG-FG2-FA] and get left turn, right turn, haz, brakes, DRLs, lights on, brights, ect ect. If we get someone with HIDs we will need another car with HIDs to be in the mirrored position... so it matches. Otherwise we would need them to be in the middle, and an additional car....

Anyone get the picture of what im producing here?

check out my subaru was mad gay and it doesn't sound like this music video will be anything like it.

 

let me see if i can better explain my vision here.

Picture this. Parked side by side, we have FA,FG2,FG,FG,FG2,FA (all stock lights)

(heres where recording will get complicated)

I will then record FA left's left blinker, then brakes, then hazzard, then right blinker, then reverse lights.

Repeat that action for all cars in the line. Then I will do the same, but with each car combo at same times. HOWEVER, to prevent prolonged recording, because a 6 digit combo list can go on and on, I will be predeciding how the video will need to go, which I have been struggling to find a good song to put it to.

I think I will post up a list of songs that I think will be best suited with lights-to-beat action in it. (Also, the whole video isnt going to be tail lights and headlights, we gotta add some cool car 'stunts' in it. ) No real stunts, just some cool drives and passes and such.

Right now I am thinking about Panic! At The Disco's - I Write Sins, Not Tragedies.

Picture this. Cars lined up... Cars crank up/rev from left to right in sucession. Then the music starts. *it helps to know the tune so that what what im about to put into text, will make sense*

with the part of the song in the intro, before the cello comes in, 'pick pick pick, pick pick' will be blinkers, then when the cello comes in, it will be brake lights 'bOm' -oh, well imagine, as im pacing the pews in a church corridor and i 'bOm bOm' cant help but to hear, no i cant help but to hear 'bOm bOm' and exchanging of words ... 'bOm' what a beautiful wedding!

Where picks are blinkers, bOm is brakes.. the rest plays out in my mind but is hard to explain haha... a big light car show.

Ideas? Other songs are possible too, I've visualized about 3 others this way.... Good part is once I have good footage, I can make it to almost any song.

 

Oh yeah, and i forgot to mention, this isnt MY production... it will be OUR (mainly being whoever offers their car and time if i can find anyone) and input is welcome from anyone else as well. I want this to be cool, maybe even show honda UK what americans are capable of... who needs a choir and mouth sounds... how about a bad *** light show on a near $0 budget. to show off not one car, but THREE.

 

I'm thinking of changing the music to a non-lyrical tune... drum and bass type. Something I can use for free, and that will earn credit to someone trying to get a name out.

The music isnt set in stone, I told you thats an example, I'm looking for the perfect music, so if anyone wants to make a suggestion, thatd be nice.
