Is that an SIR front end? i don't really know but someone made a thread about the there bing 2 different "T" bars for the conversion and the wrong one would give you that gap...
Have you adjusted all those rubber ***** on the under side of the hood?
Can you loosen the two bolts that hold on the filler piece and move it up a bit?
Just a couple ideas.

Yeah, this is how you adjust where the hood closes (along with the rubber stoppers on the edges. You have to jimmy a wrench behind the spring and loosen the jam nut. Then, with a flathead screwdriver, screw the latch pin in. Whn you've got the gap you want, tighten the jam nut back down. You can actually get a fair amount of adjustability with this. Keep in mind that if you get your gap to where it should be, but the hood doesn't close flush to the top of the fenders, then some other **** is bent.

mine fits normal.
is the metal skeleton where the headlights get bolted in bent upward in any way? it seems for some reason i see alot of cars bent there, I guess from minor accidents, or someone prying on it for some reason.
That pin on the latch would be the best idea imo, if the pin is out by like lets say as a example 3 inches to the catch point where it catches in the tbar, then take how much gap you have and eliminate that much from the pin by screwing it in, that way it will pull the hood down alittle more in the middle.
I have the jdm front end and tried 3 different tbar supports. not one of them fit with my hood latch in any way. So I duno there.
