Hi. The motor in the above vehicle hydrolocked and it's too much money to replace the motor in FLA. All I need is a short block. What other honda engines will work with my heads/manifolds/etc. I find a lot of d15 d16 and b20a3 b20a5 at the local salvage yards for $100. Everyplace that actually has a b18 charges $1000. Hopefully I can just use one of these blocks. Let me know!

 

since u have a rs motor which is the b18b, almost any b series block will work. b16 b17 b18 b20 but some might need some minor modifications.

 

Define minor modifications? Do you know of a good site explaining which motor mounts work, wiring mods if needed ?

 

Look a little harder, B series shortblocks can be had for a lot less than 1k.

i got my entire b18b for $1000 from hmotorsonline...if thats too much, then just get the b20

 

b18 for 1k? wow. i can get a b18 wit less then 70k for less then a 1k
