I recently posted on here about selling my 91 CRX. I've decided to give this ugly little car a chance to prove it's worth, so it's no longer for sale. I always check my ego at the door though sitting in this thing.

I pulled the stock DX engine out and the B18A1 will be going in when I get my motor mounts. I also ordered my turbo manifold and wastegate, along with my HKS 2mm headgasket to drop the compression.

Why do you wanna build a car that you seem to dislike? I mean, even if it kicks everyone's ***, will you still be happy driving it?

Just wondering, good luck accomplishing whatever your goal is though.

gotta agree with y-49. Ain't no crx too ugly to fix. I've got one I've just started on, and pretty it ain't, but it sure is mean looking.
Take it out and you're guarenteed to get at least one police escort.

When I say ugly, I'm refering to how it compares to the good looking cars of today. Nobody in their right mind is gunna look at a CRX, then look at a Scion TC or EVO or STI and say, "Yeah I think the CRX looks better."

This car is not gunna be used for anything other than racing. Everyone locally that races has one of these little things. And nobody will race you if you have what appears to be a faster car. So unfortunately even the fast Honda's end up just racing each other, cause they know the Evo's and muscle cars would kill them.

I have my Chevy truck to drive for a commuter which will be traded in next year for a newer bigger truck. Probably a full size Silverado so I can put our 4 wheelers in the back of it for trips to the beach.

 

Well, it'll make a good commuter, even if you think it's ugly (I don't like the cars that you mentioned, but I have been told I'm nuts).

Anyway, if you really want you could beat some muscle cars, but if your goal is just a commuter you'll do a good job of it either way.
