Regular headlights, yellow ones distract the **** out of me when i'm driving. Other people's actually make me sick, I hate the color coming in from behind me. When I had yellow driving lights that overpowered my low beams, the color was kind of disconcerting while driving.
how come 99.9% of the cars with yellow lights end up being a riced out honda? I drive down the street, see yellow headlights coming up. I say to myself "bet you it's a honda". the car drives by, what do you know...

OK. there is a few things out there I dunno if everyone knows exactly or understands .. ur not talkin about the bulbs right???? if im right ur talkin about the housing being yellow... u know thats acctually not the whole headlight that ud be getting.. its just a yellow film that goes across the headlight.. the reason for that is on the LeMans cars. or JGTC the skylines, supras, 350Z's etc.... any basically real roadracing car.. Civics in this matter too, in that category,, they use it for days the Fog falls down.. and we all know how that can be,, especially right bfore or when the nite falls... soo the racecars use the Yellow looking ones during that time.. I on the other hand think when done right depending on how the rest of ur car looks.. I think it can look really sick.. but thats just my opinion.. I would do it! u do what u think is right... hope it helped and out a bit.... peace..

Actually all of those cars run HIDs with 3200K temps, so you see the yellow/gold/amber bright headlights. Most of them don't use film anymore and if they do, it's mainly for protection for the headlight lens from rocks. Compared to running yellow H11 bulbs in my foglights on my car, I now run 3200K HID H11 kit in my foglights. Even more yellow looking and it makes a huge difference at night with the uneven roads, potholes, road lines, etc, when you're out on an empty road with no lights around. The reg bulbs are just for show IMO and don't do **** at night.

And if you dont have or want foglights but want better "bad weather" vision what should you do?

hid retrofit.
well it depends where you're from. I see ricers in so cal with them. we hardly have bad weather.
plus if it was really a problem, do you think yellow headlights would be factory? they do have yellow auxually and fogs factory.

actually, reasoning behind using it in some of the le mans series cars is to distinguish classes. as you can see, not all classes use yellow headlights, but if you're one of the slow *** gt3 guys and you see yellow headlights in your mirror, you know to get the hell off to the side
