I average around 25 MPG in the Si. I drive mostly highway to work each day and through the streets for fun on weekends.

it's cool. i'm not trying to impress anyone. We all drive the FG here. It's a manual and i had 3 people in the car with me "including me". i always see what mileage when i fuel up and that time, i got 385 miles and i filled up 9.9x gallons.

Not everyone may be talking about the SI. Our EX auto with me my wife and my son got 38 average 300mile round trip to Nashville the only time I really checked. With a slightly lighter foot, less weight, more hwy driving i'm sure 40 isn't too far off at all.

Your conditions: Normal conditions. His story: 80-100 MPH 3 people, AC on fullt blast.

No way youd avg 40mpg like that. I barely do that cruising 70, with just me, and A/C on.

I had a/c on, and cruised about 75-85 plus some city driving. I doubt he spent the whole time at 100 though. I don't see how a car rated 41hwy with full gross vehical weight could be called BS when someone does 38 with faster driving.

okay well if those getting better than 35+mpg on the NON-Si please give details on their driving habits?

I do 70mile roundtrip 5days a week to my job, cruising anywhere from 70-80mph ... i drive like a maniac sometimes (just gas it) but its not like i'm on it all the damn time, i havent really run the AC lately n e mre as it's no longer in the triple digist (THANK YOU JESUS!)

and I average 330-340 miles per tank filling up like 11gallons...

i really need to know how you folks are doing 400 miles to a tank with only filling up just shy of 10 gallons

or maybe i'm not calculating right? someone care to verify, here is what I do

Gas station - fill up - reset trip A to 0miles - drive on that take - get 3 maybe 2 blips left - fill up - i take the miles on Trip A (lets say 350miles) divided by the number of gallons I just filled it up with (lets say 11 gallons) and I would get 31mpg

??????????????

i dont see where you guys are getting these estimated mpg ratings of 35 or 41... doesnt the documents say 26-32 for the 2006 4cyl 5spd?

driving from SD to LA and back with barely any city driving (all freeway) i got up to 420miles on the full tank, which was around 16 gallons

seems to be ~26mpg, but i was between 90 and 100 the whole ways.

i love my car

Honda 4 cylinders have typically been very fuel efficient for the HP they put out. I am getting 25-26 MPG in mostly city some highway driving, with a spirited driving style.

The non-Si models are rated at 30/38 for Manual and 30/40 auto.

I feel your pain. I drove like a grandmom last week (shifting at 2500 on avg and 3000 max, and never going beyond 65, mostly cruising at 55mph) and I only got 34mpg.

When I drive normally I usually get 30mpg.
