When shutting off my car.......
I used to hear an audible rush of air come from the intake. Lately, when I turn my car off I've noticed that the noise is now gone. I even stood outside the car and had someone turn it off and still no rush of air after shut off. I was wondering, I have been burning a little more oil than usual lately and I was wondering if this symptom could be an indication of anything wrong with my motor?
clean your filter lately?
I wouldn't say abything is necessarily wrong with your car b/c you don't hear a rush sound. have you had someone put their ear next to it while you shut the car off?? I am sure its making a little sound.
sorry I can''t really help! make sure its real clean. ??
i have the same problem, i dont think the 96-00 cars to it nearly as loud as the 92-95 cars do because i have a 93 civic and a 97 and the 97 doesnt do it, well i bought a new sensor for the back of the throttle body (forget what it is called) anyway the one with the screen, after that it made the noise for like a week then stoped i checked it, cleaned it , and it did the same thing.
I think 96-00 intake manifolds have a flaw.
