Squeaking brakes?
So I encountered a little 'problem' today. Actually, I don't know how big of a problem it is, but I noticed when I'm backing up and then I get on the brakes...then there's some awkward noise coming from the rear. Now I lowered my car on springs so I'm not sure but highly doubt it has anything to do with the suspension. At first I thought it was my brakes but it doesn't sound like it is my brakes. My friend described it as air being forced out of a small hose. Now this noise is only when I'm backing up and brake, but when I'm driving forward and brake it doesn't do it. Anyone got any ideas? It's really starting to irritate me.
Thanks in advance.

mine did the same thing before it started doing it all the time...my brake pads just got replaced today and it works great with no sounds whatso ever....but sometimes the wear bar on them will squeal if you back up because it slightly moves the caliper and the pad get's to where it grinds a little bit....but you might pull your wheels and see if your pads are wearing down...if you are a mechanical dipshit like me, then most places will do brake checks for free...ie: les scwab, and most jap. auto places. here's a pic for reference to what i'm talking about:

those aren't exactly your brakes but they're just examples for your reference
