I didnt think you could swap and RSX engine with the older model Honda's due to the motor being backwards.

 

First of all I would like to ask all of you smart a**** why are you jumping all over me. You have no idea who I am or for that matter if I am a scam. Yes I do have the engine, and no it is not for an earlier model civics or integras. It does have only 700km on it. The engine came out of an RSX which was badly hit on the side. Everything needed to swap into an RSX or an SI is there and is in perfect condition.

So please do not post any more stupid coments, and leave this thread for people that are interested.

I am willing to accept offers since this is the first of such engines I am selling I was not sure on the right pricing, but with the right offer I will be glad to pass this beauty on to you.

Don't you mean Integra Type-R? There is no RSX Type-R

 

There is an RSX Type-R but its not sold here in the states. The engine could easily be imported from a wrecked RSX - R

No one was jumping down your throat pal! Have you ever heard of being cautious?! People don't like to get screwed and if you are legit than congrats on getting your hands on an RSX-R engine swap. But I really doubt you are going to get $10K for it.

Question:
1) Will the engine pass smog? I think not, due to the fact that Honda has not imported any in the states nor are they up to standard on US emissions. So to answer my own questions. . .No. If someone buys this and swaps in into their Type-R or Si then it will NOT pass smog checks as is. You will have to do some modifications in order to get it cleared.

2) Are you a dealer?

3) Do you have a license to sell this?

4) What exactly is included in this tranfer?

2002 = backwards as compared to the rest of the honda B series engines.
I think it would pass smog since its not that much different than the S, just a little higher compression.

 

I think he is talking about the NEW SI... not the 2000 B-series SI

 

I thought Acura's "RSX" name was only for America. Everywhere else It's a Honda Integra R (220 hp) or Honda Integra IS (160 hp)

 

theres no point in swapping this motor into anything, RSX's and new Si's already have the motor, just swap in the cams,pistons and manifolds and youre done.

Nope, it won't pass smog. I have looking into importing these and it's very hard to get them street legal since they don't pass smog checks and they haven't been crash tested. I don't think you have to worry about the crash testing for an engine though.

Now is this guy ever going to answer my questions?
