how to get tighter steering??
Now that i have the swap and suspension done my next prodject is the steering. My car thinks it's in Indiana and wonders all over the place. When I'm hauling through a turn and hit a dip and the car reaches the top of the suspen. the steering wheel is loose as can be and is the same way on the x-press way. how can i tighten this up and is there any steering racks that are tighter turn ratio.
Please help if you know anything on this subject. This problem makes the car no fun to drive on the twisties

Yup. first things first, do an alignment.
Have you checked under the rack yet? Sometimes the bolts holding it in place can be loose, happened on my CRX. Finally if none of those are the culprits, get polyurethane steering rack bushings.

My steering got looseer and looser. I realized that it was the tie rods...they just straight up rusted at the jiont section such that there was a couple mm of play. It happened after I used the polyurethane tie rod boots.
I put new tie rods on and had an alingment(sp) done and none of that helped. The bolts that hold it in are tight. When i'm driving really slow (10mph or less) it is fine, but on the highway you can turn the wheel 8 in. side to side w/o the car turning. and when it's up on jackstands it takes no pressure to turn the driving wheels side to side. Does this make sense what i'm tryin' to say.
