hi all, i want to buy an after market intake for my engine. But my engine has a wierd insertion of the intake. If i was to get an intake for my engine, it will have to look like this one here. http://www.turbokits.com/image...t.jpg But i don't what it's call and how i can get one. I tried looking up ebay but i don't know how it looks like. All i save are short ram and cold .

plezse help

 

the picture have there is a turbo'd engine...so your intake will look similair to it but where the BOV is located there should be a intake filter there if it a short ram.

ok, sorry for the image, wrong image. I didn't realize that it was a turbo.

when you purchase a intake for your car, you will not use that black box, becuase that is your filter right next to the throttle body, there will be a piping that curve out and ending with a filter in the correct spot. check out the link that i put for you...it will look very similiar to that picture.

if you order any intake made for your engine, it will fit. Your car has a D16y7, so the intake you will need will be labeled 96-00 honda civic dx/lx

 

the one i show you in red is made by AEM, and that one is a short air intake...and the one i show you with all the chrome piping, that one is cold air intake. i am just giving you an idea what it will look like, it will be up to you to choose what brand or knock off.
