ep3 suspension drop
I'm thinking about buying a 2003 civic si with about 16000 miles. Personally i think they look like a minivan unless they are lowered. I have found a camber kit and coilovers for a little under $200.. my question is how hard is it to install coilovers and a camber kit on this model civic compared to a 92-95. I would like to do this myself to save labor costs but im having my doubts as to whether i can or not considering its such a new car. Any help is appreciated! thanks
Under $200? Wow, that's cheap...
I don't think it's that difficult. Unbolt this, unbolt that, make sure the axles don't fall out, put it all back together, get it aligned, etc.
A mild 1" to 1.5" drop makes it look a heck of a lot better. Go lower than that and you'll only be doing it for style; handling will begin to get worse if it's too low.
Have you budgeted for aftermarket shocks & struts, too? The stock parts will wear out much sooner than normal with stiffer springs and/or a drop.
