HELP!!! car wont start

I went out this morning to go to work and the car wouldnt start, wont turn over or anything and the starter doesnt even click, btw its a 94 eg hatch

I got power it just wont turn over at all

I just push started it and it started any suggestions?????

obivous first, but... battery?? do your lights turn on when the car isnt runnin and if they do are they very dim?? also did a lead (wire) come off the start some how?

I just took the starter off and had it tested and it was bad but I have a j1 tranny and dont no what yr starter to order it from. Any help is appreciated thanx HT
