I do this all the time I use a heat gun and a screw driver but I found an easier way to do it I pre heat the oven for 20min at 375 the turn it off and put the headlight assembly inside the oven in a pan or something not right on top of the grill it will melt its plastic leave it inside for about 5min use your judgement then take it out and start splitting the assembly open the glue should be nice and soft make sure to clean the glue out so you dont have any leaks when putting back together make sure to use water proof silicone. After you split the housing apart remove the chrome besel 2 phillips bolt hold it in. make sure to sand the chrome besel with a scuff pad and I painted mine satin black and looks good I even painted the grey housing flat black looks good too good luck with the project
