when you fill up the rad you gotta bleed the cooling system to get rid of any air bubbles that are in it.

Do you see white smoke when the car is running with coolant?

Does your coolent reservoir have clean coolant in it or is it oiley?

Look at you oil. Does it look foamy?

I think your probably wasting your time bleeding the cooling system. If your getting any white smoke, your head gasket's gone and the only way to fix is to pull it apart and replace it. You should check the block deck and the head, very carefully, to make sure they aren't warped, before you put anything back together.
