How low can I be and still remain daily driven safe....
I want to lower my car about 2.5" all around. Is this still goign to be safe for the streets? I want to be able to get around and what not and not have to worry about running over sticks in the road and mess up my bumper or other parts. What you guys think? How low is everyone else and is it hard to get around?

it depends on where you live. it's going to be safe as long as you dont bottom out. you just have to drive smart and avoid speed bumps, potholes, large inclines, etc.
Safe is entirely up to the driver.
I rolled my DC2 around something around -3.75" for a week, and while it was "safe" when driven accordingly, it didn't make it over speed bumps, potholes, large incline changes for driveways, etc... Sitting on the bumpstops, it was at least predictable.
When I raised it up an 1", I had more ground clearance, but being just off the bumpstops produced a bit of unexpected behavior at times. Snap oversteer or understeer, depending on which end hit the bumpstops first. Then again, pushing a car t othe limit on a public road is never safe, and I only did so during either an autocross of HPDE.
Now, I'm around 2 finger gaps front and back. I still tap the front bumpstops on the street occasionally, but at least I clear speedbumps and driveways. Car is also alot more predictable at the limit, since it actually has some suspension travel now.

Ive used a 1.8F 1.6 rear drop before. It isnt enough for me. I am shooting for a 2.5 all around. Nothing insane, yet enough to make it looks clean. 3.75 is just worthless in my opinion...

Heh, extra oil pans. I don't plan to be that slammed. Im goign to be running GC coilovers with koni yellows, so my setup will be top notch. I live in SC, the roads are pretty shitty here.

Come on dude, why you asking this? If you worry about break the part under the car or risk of driving that low.. Then dont lower the car.. Drive with stock spring and you wont have to worry about it.. Depend how fast you drive, pay attention the road, not driving into harzard road and etc... Just drive slow and be careful!!!
I understand its up to the driver. I was just trying to figure out what is a happy medium between low and slammed. I want to be able to get around without worrying about going sideways over every speedbump, hill, etc. Thats why I was asking if 2.5" all around was still a pretty safe drop.

I'm at about a 3" drop here and I barely make it up my driveway (steep) I have problems at high speed bumps (scrape), I have to take inclined ramps at angles, etc etc... check pics in my sig... I'm barely tucking 15s too.

hummm... See im not worried about scraping my front lip, thats cool. Im just worried about scraping my resonator. I have a apexi n1 and the resonator is HUGE!!!! Im not sure what I am going to do. I should have bought 16s.

i'm curious as to what height you are at measured at the 4 jack points. You don't look any lower than me, maybe a 1/4" lower but you seem to be scraping a lot more.

His suspension setup could be really soft or something. It says hes running Eibach springs I think on god knows what kind of shocks.

i run no gaps on 15" 3 spoke work wheels and 195/50's and dont have that big of problems.
its really all in how you drive and avoid steep places and rough roads

Im barley tucking 14's at 2.5 all around . No problems here livin in philly. Also all the streets within a 5 mile radius of my home are being paved, THANK GOD. NICE and SMOOTH.
Just remember to change your pillow mounts while everything is apart.
