Rear Wheel bearing 98lude 130KM
Thought it was tire noise. Any guesses as to how long it will go before complete failure? Will I have any warning before complete failure? Is it significantly harder to replace then the breaks on the rear? thanks
i usually dont wait for complete failuer, since that can often damage other parts. When the bearing is messed up i do it.
Replacement is fairly easy, you remove the rear brakes, then remove the large nut (32mm I beleive) and the bearing should come right out.

standard prelude issue
change it ASAP
it will go bad exponentially fast!!!
To make sure you are changing the correct one,
no sound or feeling should come out of a rear bearing when rotated at hand
( after having removed the rotor/brakes )
try and spin it fast with hand
and you shouldn't hear nothing
if it makes any noise, replace it!
fairly easy on the lude ..
