Default DIY Timing Belt and Water Pump

I was just wondering if there was anywhere on the internet or on this forum where there was detailed instructions on how to change your timing belt and water pump. I already have all of the parts I just need to put them in. Or would it be easier just to take it to a mechanic? How much would they charge?

How good are you with tools?? I jsut did mine, it is not hard, just time consuming and some of the bolts are a bit hard to get to.

The worst part was getting the crank pulley bolt off. That was untill I got my compressor and gun, then it came right off.

Firgure around $500 to have someone do it. I just did mine too. As racermech it is a bit time consuming if its your first time. I could probably do it now under 2 hours. Also as he said the crank pulley bolt is going to be the hardest to do. I suggest not starting until you have the moroso crank pulley removal tool or the snap on version of it. It'll make your life a hell of a lot easier. The tool will cost you about $30 - $50.

As for the guides:

I also recommend having the helms with you too.
